Weber-Hydraulik

Weber was first established in the UK in 1974 as manufacturing subsidiary of Weber Hydraulik GmbH, within 11 years bottle jacks were being produced at a rate of 70,000 units per annum;  then the latter part of the 80's saw a rapid decline in orders from the commercial vehicle industry resulting in a major change in the marketing strategy for Weber UK. The decision was made for all bottle jack production to be reverted back to the German parent company. 

Weber very quickly established prominence in the general UK aftermarket selling a wide range of hydraulic and air/hydraulic products into the garage equipment and industrial markets. From then on, steady progress was made, gradually introducing new products with particular emphasis on the commercial sector.

During 2002 a management buy-out was negotiated with Weber Hydraulik GmbH  eventually resulting in a completely new operation being established at their larger premises located in Halstead, Essex.  All warehousing, sales, and distribution operations are carried out from Halstead in addition to a comprehensive repair, spares and servicing facility.   

In 2007 a new company was formed to handle the marketing of all Rescue tools and equipment manufactured by Weber Hydraulik GmbH, Austria. Since 2007 this company has made rapid progress within the emergency services industry and, as a consequence, will shortly be re-located in much larger, purpose-built premises near Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
